If you’re going to put a card in the mail, it should actually mean something. Most cards fail because they try to speak for everyone, but your relationships are unique and unknowable to a corporation. A card that gets kept in a bedside drawer for twenty years isn't the one with the perfect rhyme, it’s the one that feels genuine and meaningful .

In my home, the kids make cards for the parents. It’s an odd tradition they started, a bit wholesome, a bit sweet, and totally honest. My work is inspired by that. I keep them all forever.

When you send one of these, add a note in your own shitty handwriting and bad spelling. Don’t waste your money on empty virtues & gestures. Say you care, say it often made with the love you hold for the recipient.
